Paint Correction on a Turbo Mustang: Full Process Breakdown

Hey, it’s Andy with Mid-MO Dents! Today, we’ve got a special project—a big single-turbo Mustang in for a full paint correction package. We started off-camera by foaming it down and scrubbing everything clean. Next, we used a clay bar to remove any contaminants like brake dust or overspray, ensuring the paint surface was smooth and ready for polishing.

After testing with a two-step buff, we decided to tape off the rubbers and plastics to avoid staining during the process. We then moved on to the full buffing job, using Uno Advanced with a black CCS pad for the final polish. This not only delivered a deep gloss but also added up to a year of ceramic protection. We let the coating cure for an hour before wiping it down and checking the results in the shop.



Once outside, the difference was incredible! We managed to remove a ton of scratches and swirls, leaving the paint super glossy. The customer was thrilled with the results, and we’re excited to see more cars like this roll through the shop now that it’s springtime.
